  • acquire realistic marketing skills and knowledge in order to contribute fully to their organisation's marketing operation
  • be able to produce detailed marketing strategies and plans
  • be able to plan, produce and use above and below the line marketing media, e.g. literature, promotional materials, aids and videos
  • be able to write effective advertisements and editorials
  • appreciate the value of and acquire a capability to conduct research into own product portfolio requirements
  • conduct research into competitors and consumers
  • understand the link between marketing and business strategy
  • have a thorough understanding of marketing's integration with finance, production and sales
