Health and Safety Management Training
Programme IntroductionReference ManualLearning Objectives

It is estimated by the health and safety executive that in the UK about 500 people are killed at work every year and several hundred thousand more are injured or suffer ill-health. It is estimated that the cost to UK employers of work-related injury and illness exceeds £4 billion a year. Never let it be said that health and safety management training is not a cost effective investment.

Implementing knowledge acquired by health and safety management training for the achievement of good working practices, and the elimination of hazards, is the responsibility of everyone involved with what the organisation does and produces. Consider health and safety management training as a serious event.

However the onus is on all managers to go beyond the standards of health and safety management training as required by legislation, regulations and codes of practices.
