Programme IntroductionReference ManualLearning Objectives

This financial awareness management training course is designed to provide participants with a clear understanding of the financial aspects of a typical organisation's operations so that they can conduct an assessment of financial position and trading performance and draw accurate conclusions. This will ensure that managers who are outside the accounting function will have sufficient financial awareness to be able to converse competently and confidently with other managers on financial matters.

Participants will learn the meaning of the key fundamental concepts which underpin accounting principles; how to read financial statements in order to pin-point essential items of information; how to assess their own and competitors' capability using inter-company comparison techniques; how to monitor and control in-house financial activity and how to locate areas within a company for performance improvement.

(Please note the programme does not entitle any participant to conduct formal accounting audits or to carry out accounts preparation which leads to audit).

The design of this two day financial awareness management training course is generic however it will be tailored to meet our client's specific requirements.

This financial awareness course will ensure that accounting standards and conventions used in the production of financial statements will be carefully explained. A key aspect of the course will be in assessing financial capability. This will be measured in terms of profitability, liquidity, working capital considerations and trading performance.
